About Exaforce
Exaforce is an agentic SOC platform and MDR service built for AI-era threats. Our four Exabots (Detect, Triage, Investigate, and Respond) work on top of a unified data layer and real-time knowledge graph, so security teams get context and reasoning instead of another alert queue.
Customers run us two ways. Some operate the platform with their own team guided by Exabots. Others hand it to us, and our MDR analysts and Exabots become their 24/7 SOC. We ingest from more than 100 sources across cloud, identity, endpoint, SaaS, and development environments.
What that has meant in practice: Accton cut mean time to investigate by 94%, from three hours to ten minutes. Forcepoint runs a 14 minute MTTR on P0s with 95% of alerts auto-triaged as verified false positives. Invisible Technologies got back more than six FTEs of time every month while keeping 24/7 coverage with a lean team.
The role
You will be the technical deal leader for a regional sales territory. Everything technical in the deals you work belongs to you. The center of the job is the Proof of Value. At Exaforce, the SE owns the POV end to end. You set the success criteria with the customer, scope the data sources, run the onboarding, drive the success, surface findings the customer did not expect, and land the technical win. Most of your time goes to security & IT operations people. SOC managers buried in alerts or IT managers trying to do it all, including CISOs who need to explain the program to a board.
What you'll do
- Run discovery that surfaces pain the customer has not named yet, including walking through a day in the life of their analysts in their own environment.
- Deliver demos built for whoever is actually in the room, and hold the thread when the room pushes back.
- Own POVs from first scoping call to technical win: success criteria, data source scope, onboarding, execution, wrap-up.
- Co-sell our MDR service with the MDR team, including scoping guardrails, SLAs, and escalation paths with the customer.
- Present wrap-ups to mixed rooms, translating what you found into business value without losing the practitioners.
- Feed the product team real signals from real deals. At our stage your issue reports and prioritization input directly impact & change the roadmap.
- Help us build and scale a world class SE team; contributing to runbooks, integration guides, playbooks, and building a culture where people love coming to work.
What we're looking for
- Sales engineering or solutions consulting experience with real technical ownership of enterprise deals, including POVs or technical evaluations you ran yourself.
- Genuine security operations fluency. You understand triage queues, escalation paths, detection tuning, and why analysts burn out, because you have either worked in a SOC or sold into one deeply enough to understand them.
- Credibility on detection and telemetry. Log sources and schemas, query languages, and enough depth on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), identity (Okta, Entra ID), and endpoint (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) to answer a skeptical detection engineer.
- Experience with managed detection and response, an MSSP, or another managed security service, whether you sold it, bought it, or operated it.
- The judgment and ability to build trust, both with prospects and internal teammates, and to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Strong presentation skills across the full range, from a hands-on analyst to a CISO.
Nice to have
Experience displacing an incumbent MSSP or SIEM, a background in detection engineering or incident response, familiarity with SOC 2 and customer security reviews, and time at an early stage company where you built your own assets.
Who does well here
People who want to own the technical outcome rather than support someone else's. People who would rather run four deep POVs than thirty shallow demos. People who enjoy being the one a skeptical practitioner tries to catch out. This is probably the wrong role for you if you need a fully built out playbook to be effective, do not wish to contribute ideas to improving the role, or are unwilling to be a builder.
How to apply
Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience. Please send your application to careers@exaforce.com with the subject line “Senior Solutions Engineer”.
